Instructions

  • Statement of Purpose:
    The Grace Fort Gouldsby Scholarship Foundation awards scholarships for the purpose of recognizing high school seniors in the state of Texas who have demonstrated outstanding and committed service in their community as well as academic excellence. This award is intended to provide financial assistance to such students in attaining their educational and career goals.

    Scholarship Award:
    The Grace Fort Gouldsby Foundation Scholarship will award a minimum of one scholarship a year to a Texas high school senior planning on attending an accredited college or university. Scholarship awards typically range from $1,000 to $2,500 disbursed in two payments during the academic year.

    Eligibility Requirements:
    To be eligible for the Grace Fort Gouldsby Scholarship Foundation award you must:
    • Be accepted to attend an accredited College or University
    • Be a current Texas high school senior at the time of application and graduate before September 1 of the award year; applications submitted prior to senior year are NOT eligible.
    • Must be a Texas resident
    Application Requirements & Checklist:
    • Submit your completed application between January 1 and July 31 of the award year:

      • School & Community Activities
    • Official high school transcript with cumulative GPA and class rank if provided.
    • A signed recommendation from someone familiar with the applicant, except parents or other relatives
    • Essays on given topics (must be typed or written legibly)
    Application Submission Instructions & Deadline:
    IMPORTANT! Please make at least 1 copy of your completed application form for your personal records.

    All eligibility and application requirements must be met in order for an application to be considered for the scholarship. Incomplete applications will not be considered. All required application materials must be mailed or submitted electronically by the deadline.
    All completed application packages must be received by July 31 of the award year. Application materials will NOT be accepted after the deadline. Submit completed applications to:
